1. Define the use cases
We identify the jobs that matter for the category, then score them separately. A television can excel for movies and remain only good in a bright room.
2. Verify the exact product
We check model numbers, regional variants, specifications, included accessories, software commitments, warranty terms, and price against primary sources.
3. Translate features into consequences
A feature matters only when it changes setup, performance, comfort, ownership cost, or compatibility. Marketing names do not earn points by themselves.
4. Show uncertainty
Manufacturer claims are identified as claims. We do not invent measurements, ownership, or testing. Price and availability are dated because both can change quickly.
5. Explain the score
The written verdict takes priority over the number. Readers should be able to see who benefits, who should compare, and why.
